Blackcarburning - Everything Worked Out

from Broken Hearts & Robot Parts IV - Xmas Edition by COP International

about

Hi all,
Another weird year comes to a close.
It has been some time since my last message and a lot of exciting stuff has happened - as promised I’ve kept things to myself until I could be sure it’s happening.
Thanks to COP International, 2022 will see the release of several singles from the new album. These singles will be released as mini EP’s with a couple of additional tracks on each. This will be followed by a full-length album. The first single will also be available as a physical release but the numbers will be limited. If physical goes well then hopefully this will be the same with the other singles. The album is also planned to be a physical release as well as digital.
I’d kind of finished writing for this year. As often happens, I made the mistake of ‘messing about in the studio and accidentally wrote a song. I could certainly have found a home for it, but I thought you might like it as a gift for Christmas. It’s not a Christmas song but I think it has that feel. It will also appear on “Broken Hearts and Robot Parts IV” on COP International as a part of their awesome seasonal gift to supporters.
The track is called “Everything Worked Out” and I will release it tomorrow, 24th December at 2 pm UK time on Bandcamp. As with all gifts, it will be free. There is also a little video I made which will be available on the Bandcamp page and the Blackcarburning Youtube channel (link below)
Thanks for all your support this year - 2022 will be the year for this project. I’m hoping you’ll continue on this journey with me. Happy holidays and have a great New Year! xx

lyrics

I was the one who deserved you
Carrying a flame that I never could put out
Could never mention
Could never tell you about

I thought I'd be the one to save you
I'd keep you on the pedestal I made you
I never had any doubt
That's how it was going to work out

Daydreams trap me
I'm glad that you're happy
But I thought I knew my fate
But it's all too late

I was the one who framed you
I put you up in lights while the others claimed you
You would have noticed me, you would have loved me
If you could see what I see

Now when I see you sometimes
The fire that I saw hasn't gone from your eyes
And I don't have any doubts
Because I know that everything worked out

Daydreams trap me
I'm glad that you're happy
But I thought I knew my fate
But it's all too late

It was almost in doubt
But everything worked out
It was almost in doubt
But everything worked out

Daydreams trap me
I'm glad that you're happy
But I thought I knew my fate
But it's all too late

Daydreams trap me
I'm glad that you found me
But I thought I knew my fate
But it's all too late

I thought I knew my fate
But it's all too late
