The sky went red And dripped into my mouth No reason to be pure No angels in this town Play my game Lay down your tears Lay down your pain No need for it here Play my game Wear my ring Take my hand Be my Suicide Queen

about

It is with great pleasure that we are presenting the first of our new “Broken Hearts & Robot Parts” label and friends compilation. Special thanks to Greg Rolfes for the Cover art and the song sequence, Ken Magerman for the title, and the Sounds and Shadows FB group that helped us brainstorm the concept.
.
Unlike most label compilations that are fairly hefty volumes, we are going for a concept that opts for a much smaller selection of artists [5 total]. This allows for a larger spotlight on the selected few and allows us to move fairly quickly with building the series out. We are hoping to drop one of these every 2 months.
.
COP does not operate in a vacuum but is build upon the idea of community. And one thing has become abundantly clear since we restarted the label: there is a ton of new and exciting music out there. So we decided to include not just bands on the label, but also artists that display exceptional talent and deserve to be exposed to a wider audience. We hope that this compilation series will provide a snapshot of our vibrant scene. We also hope you will enjoy this first installment as much as we do and we look forward to getting your feedback!
